The Convocation Picnic & Beyond

This project focuses on improving sustainability at the first year convocation picnic and empowering event planners to implement sustainable practices at their events. The team worked to provide sustainable water bottles and locally sourced food for the picnic. Additionally, waste management practices at the event were researched and improved. The team also wanted to create a resource that event planners can use to help them earn a Green Events Certification. A Green Events Guideline was created that contains useful tips, information and resources that are designed to help planners complete the Green Events Checklist and earn the certification.
