Dr. Tiefenthaler is a passionate advocate for expanding opportunities in STEM careers and a powerful voice on the role of science communication in shaping a more sustainable future. Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis for this student-organized event and is free to all Duke affiliates including students, alumni, faculty, and staff! The Summit for Ocean Stewards (SOS) is a student-organized event that aims to bring together the next generation of ocean leaders to inspire hope, share knowledge, and build a supportive community of scientists and environmental activists.
