Register to attend the second annual Summit for Ocean Stewards (SOS) and take part in a conversation with Dr. Jill Tiefenthaler (M.A.'89, Ph.D.'91), CEO of the National Geographic Society and the first woman to lead the organization in its 137-year history. Dr. Tiefenthaler is a passionate advocate for expanding opportunities in STEM careers and a powerful voice on the role of science communication in shaping a more sustainable future. Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis for this student-organized event and is free to all Duke affiliates including students, alumni, faculty, and staff!

* 5-5:30 PM - POSTER SESSION. Highlighting Duke student researchers
* 5:30-6:30 PM - A CONVERSATION WITH DR. JILL TIEFENTHALER. CEO of the National Geographic Society.
* 6:30-7 PM - POSTER SESSION AND CONCLUSION. Highlighting Duke student researchers.
The Summit for Ocean Stewards (SOS) is a student-organized event that aims to bring together the next generation of ocean leaders to inspire hope, share knowledge, and build a supportive community of scientists and environmental activists.
