Summer Internship Opportunity with the Duke Carbon Offsets Initiative

Share February 03, 2012

The Duke Carbon Offsets Initiative is seeking to hire two undergraduate students in summer 2012 to help the Initiative examine the greenhouse gas emission reductions resulting from energy efficiency upgrades to homes and businesses in and around Durham. Duties likely will include hands-on energy efficiency work, data collection and analysis, and background research. Opportunities to extend the internships on a part-time basis through the 2012-13 academic year may be available.

Applicants should have an interest in energy issues and have experience with data analysis; ideally, candidates will be familiar with energy efficiency measures.  Rising seniors and juniors are preferred, but all are encouraged to apply.

If interested, please send a resume and cover letter to David Cooley (david.cooley@duke.edu).
