President's Climate Commitment
As part of Duke’s continued leadership in environmental stewardship and sustainability, the university has signed the American College and University Presidents Climate Commitment.
By signing the commitment, Duke has pledged to eliminate or offset all campus greenhouse gas emissions over time, and in the process, lead the transition to a sustainable economy. The President's Commitment involves undertaking the following steps, and communicating with the campus community:

The University has collected an annual inventory of greenhouse gas emissions going back to 1990; however, the scope of these measurements have expanded greatly over time. Explore Duke's carbon footprint and the factors contributing to our emissions.

Develop a Climate Action Plan for achieving neutrality [more info]
Duke's Climate Action Plan was drafted by the Campus Sustainability Committee, co-chaired by Dr. Tallman Trask and Dr. William Chameides. Review Duke's Climate Action Plan and provide your thoughts and feedback.
