Free Store

Free StoreThe Free Store allows Duke students, staff and faculty to donate or take for free any gently used office supplies, books, kitchen supplies, or other miscellaneous items. A student-run table of goods can typically be found inside the Bryan Center or just outside the building on The Plaza every other week during the academic year (Free Store events are regularly posted on the News & Events page).

While Free Store table events are only held during the academic year, small office supplies not needed by a department (i.e. calculators, folders, binders or staplers) can be made available to other departments and area non-profit agencies at no charge throughout the year through Duke Recycles. Call (919) 660-3389 for more information or to set up an appointment to view or donate items. The Sanitation and Recycling Services building is located at 117 S. Buchanan Blvd.

Please note that all larger Duke property must be disposed of through the surplus program.  Find out more here.
