Get Involved

From competitions to green certifications and community groups to an individual carbon calculator, there are ways for everyone at Duke to get involved with sustainability.  We encourage you to start with two simple actions:

When you're ready to dig deeper, here are a few more ways to get involved:

  • Participate in a sustainability competition.  Competitions, such as the Green Devil Smackdown, take place periodically during the academic year.
  • Apply for a Green Grant to fund your campus sustainability project idea.

Share your own personal story about how you are supporting a sustainable Duke.  You can also hear stories about others making a difference at Duke and in the world.
