The Green Book is a quick guide for students with all of the information you need to live a sustainable lifestyle on and off campus.
From competitions to green certifications and community groups to an individual carbon calculator, there are ways for everyone at Duke to get involved with sustainability. We encourage you to start with two simple actions:
When you're ready to dig deeper, here are a few more ways to get involved:
- Earn a sustainability certification for your Workplace, Lab, Classroom, Dorm Room, or Event. Employees are encouraged to attend Sustainable Duke's staff sustainability workshop.
- Participate in a sustainability competition. Competitions, such as the Green Devil Smackdown, take place periodically during the academic year.
- Join a campus group.
- Join a community organization.
- Apply for a Green Grant to fund your campus sustainability project idea.
