Certified Sustainable: Battle of the Schools
From October 9 to December 4, 2013, three schools at Duke battled to prove that they exemplify sustainability in all that they do, from office culture to green teaching. Staff and faculty at the Trinity College of Arts & Sciences, the Nicholas School of the Environment, and Pratt School of Engineering competed to see who could earn the most sustainability certifications.
In the end, the Nicholas School of the Environment came out on top completing 36 percent of the sustainability certifications for which they are eligible as a school.
