Sustainability Strategic Plan Progress Report

Duke is developing a Sustainability Strategic Plan as an extension of the Climate Action Plan to focus on a broader spectrum of areas within campus sustainability. The Sustainability Strategic Plan addresses sustainability topics including water conservation, recycling and natural resources.

The Sustainability Strategic Plan Progress Report outlines the goals, progress and areas of future focus for four key areas: Emissions & Carbon Offsets, Infrastructure, Campus Operations, and Education & Engagement.

Climate Action Plan

Duke has developed a Climate Action Plan (CAP) that will guide the University in achieving climate neutrality by 2024.  This plan was developed in large part by Duke's Campus Sustainability Committee, which was formed in 2007.
